Our practice
Resolve Legal Services advises on the law of England & Wales from an office in Watford, Hertfordshire. Our clients are landlords and property owners, property professionals and managing agents, businesses in dispute with a counterparty, and individuals who need independent legal advice before signing a guarantee or a security document.
The way we work is straightforward. We read the documents before we give a view. We tell you the weaknesses in your position as well as the strengths, because the other side will find them anyway. We give a written estimate before starting work and tell you promptly if the basis of it changes. Where a dispute can be resolved by a well-drafted letter or a negotiated outcome, we say so rather than issuing proceedings.
Litigation is a means, not an end. Most of the matters we take on are resolved without a final hearing, but they are prepared from the outset as though they will reach one — which is usually why they settle on sensible terms.
